As children, Bruce Schreiber and Tim Mullaney spent happy hours sawing and hammering. “It was our passion,” comments Bruce, “and according to our dads we had the best tree houses in St. Paul, Minnesota. After college it was natural that we began our own construction business.”

“SMC was built from the ground up with our own capital.” Tim states, “It was a great way to learn all aspects of the business and we treated every dollar as if it was our own.”

Founded in 1981 SMC has over 25 years of experience in projects ranging from tenant improvements to large-scale corporate buildings. Although technology plays an ever-increasing role in construction and project management, two key components of our success have remained the same – integrity and people.
